Renewing your vows in Las Vegas with Elvis is one of those things that just makes sense here, and why so many couples want to know how to do it. It’s fun and super Vegas. Whether you’re celebrating an anniversary or just want a reason to dress up and do something fun together, this is one of the easiest ways to make it happen!
If you’re looking into how to renew vows in Las Vegas with Elvis, this guide breaks down exactly what to expect, how much it costs, and which chapels are worth looking into.

An Elvis vow renewal in Las Vegas is a symbolic ceremony led by an Elvis impersonator. It’s not a legal wedding. So if you’re not looking to get legally married, but to renew your vows or just have some fun photos and an experience, this is for you.
A lot of couples say things like, “we’ve only been married a year or two, is it too soon?” It’s not. There’s no timeline for a vow renewal. You can do it whenever you want, whether that’s one year in, ten years later, or just because you’re in Vegas and it sounds like a good idea.
Most Ceremonies Are:
-Short (usually 10–20 minutes)
-A mix of traditional vows and an Elvis performance
-Built around music, dancing, and a little bit of humor
Most of the couples I work with go all in with outfits, limo rides, and a full Vegas night after, because that’s the whole experience. Check out my 10 Ways to Customize Your Las Vegas Elopement. This is obviously geared towards elopements, but many of these tips can also be applied to a vow renewal.

Nope! When you renew your vows in Las Vegas with Elvis, it’s completely symbolic. There’s no paperwork, no courthouse stop, and no waiting period.
You do not need a marriage license for a vow renewal. However, if you want something to commemorate the experience, you can obtain a Certificate of Vow Renewal (available through the Clark County Marriage License Bureau) for around $21 through the Marriage License Bureau. Totally optional, but a fun keepsake if you’re into it.
*The Bureau is open 365 days a year from 8 a.m. until midnight if you do want a certificate.

There are a handful of chapels that consistently come up when couples are searching for an Elvis vow renewal in Las Vegas. Each one has a slightly different feel, so it really depends on the experience you want.
One thing to note is not all chapels allow outside photographers. Some allow them, some allow them at a cost to you, and others don’t allow them at all. So it’s important to keep that in mind. If you have a specific photographer you want to work with, make sure the chapel you choose either allows them in, or you’re willing to pay the outside photographer fee.
One of the most recognizable chapels in Vegas. You’ve probably seen it without realizing it.

Another favorite among couples who come to Las Vegas for elopements and vow renewals is Sure Thing Chapel. They don’t have a traditional Elvis impersonator, but instead a modern take with Lady Elvis.
Sure Thing Chapel actually has two spaces (Sure Thing Chapel and Sure Thing Too) right next door to each other. They each have their own layout and package options, so it’s worth looking through both if you’re deciding between them.
Known for: Creative, kitschy style and unique ceremony options
Vibe: Styled, playful, slightly retro
Photography Policy: Allows outside photographers at no extra cost
Estimated cost: $300–$700 depending on customization

I also have a Sure Thing Chapel Elopement Guide which is written for elopements, but it will give you a nice look at the spaces, what’s unique about the chapel, and real photos at the chapel.

A Special Memory Wedding Chapel is a long-standing Las Vegas chapel that offers a mix of traditional ceremony options with classic Vegas ones as well.

Most couples spend anywhere from $150 to $800+ for an Elvis vow renewal in Las Vegas at a chapel.
A General Cost Breakdown:
Basic packages ($150–$300):
Ceremony + Elvis performance
Mid-range ($300–$600):
Ceremony, Elvis, photos (through the chapel), possibly flowers or limo
Higher-end ($600–$1,000+):
Custom timing, upgraded photo packages (through the chapel), transportation, add-ons
What you pay really depends on how much you want included vs. how much you want to customize.

Elvis vow renewals are such a fun experience, but they’re interactive, so if you’re shy, you may just want to do a basic vow renewal with a traditional officiant.
The Typical Elvis Vow Renewal Experience:
-You arrive at the chapel (or get picked up if transportation is included)
-Elvis makes an entrance (sometimes walks one partner down the aisle)
-The ceremony begins with a mix of vows and music
-Elvis sings at least one or two songs
-You wrap with photos inside or right outside the chapel

The vow renewal itself is just the starting point. Most couples book me for more than just the ceremony so that we can take photos of you and your partner getting ready at the hotel before, or go back to the hotel after. Most couples love to take photos on Fremont Street or get a few friends at a cocktail bar.

Planning a Las Vegas vow renewal is a lot like planning an elopement here, just without the legalities. Here are a few tips from a Las Vegas photographer whose captured hundreds of vow renewals and elopements here in the city.
-Book ahead if you’re planning for a weekend or prime dates.
-Aim for sunset or nighttime if you want the full Vegas look
-Double check photography rules at your chapel

It’s a Great Fit For Couples Who:
