If you’re looking for the best Las Vegas engagement photo locations, you’ve landed in the right place. Las Vegas offers has such a wide variety of locations, all within a short drive of each other. You can move from the city to the open desert, to stunning architectural backdrops. That kind of flexibility is what makes Las Vegas such a great location for not just weddings and elopements, but engagement photos too.
As a Las Vegas engagement, elopement, and wedding photographer, I photograph hundreds of couples every year. That probably sound like a lot, but Las Vegas is known as the wedding capital of the world. Because I’ve worked with couples across so many locations throughout Vegas, I wanted to create a guide for anyone searching for the best Las Vegas engagement photo locations.
If you’re early in the planning process and looking for ideas before choosing a location or photographer, this guide is meant to give you great ideas. Below, I’m going to break down some great Las Vegas engagement photo locations, what each spots offers, and how to plan for photos that feel natural, elevated, and true to you.

One of the biggest advantages of Las Vegas engagement photos is variety. You’re not locked into a single aesthetic, and you don’t have to choose between “iconic” and “personal.” You have so many Las Vegas engagement photo locations to choose from.
In a short distance, you have:
– Neon lights and vintage signs
– Beautiful architecture
– Desert landscapes not far out of the city
– Styled interiors you can rent just for photos
That mix allows your engagement session to feel layered instead of one single backdrop. It also makes Las Vegas great for couples who want photos that feel editorial but still personal and true to them.

📍 361 Symphony Park Avenue, Las Vegas, NV
The Smith Center is one of those Las Vegas engagement photo locations that’s great for couples who want beautiful architectural backgrounds, something a little modern, and/or editorial-style engagement photos. It has clean lines, beautiful symmetry, walkways with greenery, and open space give photos room to breathe.
Why couples love The Smith Center:
– Calm environment compared to downtown
– Architecture that photographs beautifully
– A modern and intentional feel

📍 3570 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV
If you like the idea of classic architecture and a more refined look, the exteriors of Caesars Palace offers a great alternative to some of the more busy and neon heavy locations that Las Vegas is known for. The columns, fountains, and greenery give Las Vegas engagement photos a sense of scale without feeling over the top.
Why Caesar’s Palace Works:
– Clean and timeless backdrops
– Recognizable without being trendy
– Easy to style with neutral or tailored outfits
This is one of the best Las Vegas engagement photo locations for couples who want something beautiful, a little polished, and still iconic.

📍 1 N Main St Las Vegas, NV 89101
Carousel Bar is perfect for couples who want their Las Vegas engagement photos to feel energetic, spontaneous, and fun. It’s also a great spot for couples to grab a drink. It makes your engagement photos feel more like a date than a photo session.
The Carousel Bar is also a location a lot of my elopement and wedding couples frequent for a quick drink and portraits. Fremont Street is loud, crowded, and constantly moving, but that energy is exactly what makes it work.
Why Carousel Bar Stands Out:
– The lighting gives depth and color
– The environment encourages candid moments
– Flash photography works great here
– Great spot to slow down for a drink
Note: I love nighttime sessions here, but honestly Carousel Bar looks great anytime of day. Expect crowds and noise though as it is right on Fremont Street.

📍 6915 S Durango Dr, Inside Durango Hotel, Las Vegas, NV
Wax Rabbit inside of Durango Hotel is a great option for couples who want their engagement photos to feel intimate and low-key while still feeling Las Vegas. The lighting is moody, the space feels intimate, and the energy is more date night than destination stop.
Why Wax Rabbit Works:
– Dim and moody lighting photographs beautifully
– It’s a relaxed setting that encourages natural interaction
– You can easily pair it with nearby locations
Engagement photos here feel intimate and intentional. You’re sitting, talking, laughing, and moving naturally, which makes the photos feel less staged and more intentional.
Note: Because it’s an active bar, flexibility is key. Short windows, respectful shooting, and off-peak timing work best.
Wax Rabbit is a great choice if your looking for Las Vegas engagement photo locations that can feel personal and editorial without leaning into anything loud.

Fremont Street offers far more than its most recognizable locations. Think alleyways, murals, and textured walls that give you a variety and great visuals without requiring constant location changes. Of course, there’s some of the popular locations like the neon Vegas sign, Even Pie for some fun pizza photos, Carousel Bar like we mentioned above, and more. But you’ll also find unexpected spots, too.
Why Fremont Street Is a Must:
– Easy to get variety in your session
– Walkable and lots of flexibility
– Pairs great with other locations
– Gives you the experience of Las Vegas!
I’ve also shared a deeper look at some of my favorite spots in my Top Fremont Street Photoshoot Locations in Las Vegas guide if you want more ideas before narrowing things down.

📍 1110 Fremont Street, Las Vegas, NVÂ
Sure Thing Chapel is a great option for couples who love the look of a Las Vegas chapel, but don’t necessarily want to get legally married (at least not yet). The chapel can be rented specifically for photos, which makes it a flexible, low-stress choice for engagement photos.
Why Sure Thing Chapel Works:
– Styled, retro interiors with good lighting
– Private access for your photos
– Playful and kitschy
– Pairs well with other locations
Something many couples don’t realize is that Sure Thing Chapel also offers packages that go beyond the interior space. Some packages include access to their classic convertibles, which can be used for photos after your time inside the chapel.
I recently photographed a couple who booked a photo session at Sure Thing Chapel and chose a package that gave them time inside the chapel and photos with the red convertible. It added variety without adding extra locations or logistics.
If you want a deeper look at what makes Sure Thing Chapel such a fun space, I share more of what I love about it in my Sure Thing Chapel Elopement Guide. While it’s written with weddings and elopements in mind, it still gives an overview of the chapel and its unique details for couples that are considering photos there.

📍 770 Las Vegas Blvd N, Las Vegas, NV
The Neon Museum is one of the most recognizable Las Vegas engagement photo locations, and it offers a few different ways to approach an engagement session depending on how much privacy and flexibility you want.
Why Couples Love The Neon Museum
– Vintage signs add character
– The space feels curated
– It’s unique, colorful, and adds such a fun twist to your photos
Couples planning Las Vegas engagement photos at the Neon Museum generally have two options: booking a private photo shoot or attending one of the museum’s portrait hours.
Private photo shoots currently start at $400 and include a scheduled time with either the Neon Boneyard or the North Gallery reserved just for you. This option gives you the most flexibility and privacy, and private shoots can be booked further in advance.
The museum also offers Sunset Portrait Hour (held once a week) and Late Night Portrait Hour (held twice a month). These are shared sessions where the space is open to a limited number of attendees. Everyone participating, including your photographer, must purchase a ticket. Tickets are usually released two months in advance, and availability is capped to keep the space from feeling crowded.
If you’re interested in the Neon Museum and want a deeper look at what makes the space so unique, I go over more of what I love about it in my Ultimate Neon Museum Wedding Guide. While it’s written with weddings and elopements in mind, it gives insight into the museum, the layout, and why it works so well for photos!
Note: If your preferred date isn’t available for a portrait hour, booking a private shoot is the best way to secure a specific day and time.

One of the most overlooked options for Las Vegas engagement photos is the desert just beyond the city like the Dry Lake Beds, Fossil Beds, or Red Rock Canyon. In less than an hour, the environment shifts completely! If you’re looking for Las Vegas engagement photo locations that are in a more nature setting/landscape, the desert might be what you’re looking for.
Why The Desert Works:
– Minimal distractions
– Natural light and beautiful open spaces
– Cinematic, grounded feel
Desert engagement photos pair great when mixing your session with a downtown location. If you want two different vibes, I’d recommend making sure you book enough time to travel between the two settings.
Note: Golden hour is stunning in the desert. Wear comfortable shoes and plan for movement. Rent a car to add a fun backdrop. Ask me about my Risky Ride! Come see Morgan and Monte’s Desert Western Engagement Photos in Las Vegas where they added on The Risky Ride to their package.

Of course, Las Vegas has no shortage of casinos and slot machines. Many of the hotels (which you’ll find in the next section) have casinos built right in, giving you the best of both worlds. If you want your engagement session to feel very Las Vegas without committing to busy downtown spots, the slot machines will give you lots of color, lights, and casinos work especially well with flash photography.
Note: Most casinos don’t allow professional photography on the gaming floor, and policies can vary by property. It’s best to keep our time here short and discreet, and it helps to stay flexible. My recommendation is to plan for just a few photos at the casino and not have it be your main location.

Hotel engagement photos are one of my favorite options, especially for couples who want their session to feel relaxed but elevated and intentional. For locals, this can look like turning your engagement photos into a mini staycation or date night. For couples visiting Las Vegas, it’s an easy way to build photos into your trip without bouncing between multiple locations.
Booking a beautiful hotel room gives you privacy, great lighting, and a more controlled environment. I regularly recommend hotel sessions to my wedding and elopement couples, and the right choice really comes down to the backdrop you’re drawn to and the overall look you want your photos to have.
Hotels I Recommend For Engagement Photos:
– The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas (especially the Wraparound Terrace Suite)
– Encore/Wynn Las Vegas
– The Venetian Resort Las Vegas (Luxury Suites)
– Caesars Palace
– Bellagio Hotel and Casino (Fountain View Suite)
– Park MGM
– Fontainebleau Las Vegas
– Golden Nugget Las Vegas (Spa Suite)
Each of these give’s you something different, from floor-to-ceiling windows and city views to softer interiors and classic Vegas details. The best fit depends on what vibe you’re going for.
If you’re interested in going the hotel route and want a deeper look at what I love about each of these hotels, I’ve shared more detail in The Best Las Vegas Hotels to Stay at During Your Elopement guide. While this guide is also written with elopements in mind, it will give you a more in-depth look at each hotel along with photo examples that can help you decide what style feels right for you.
Hotel sessions are a great reminder that engagement photos don’t have to be complicated to feel elevated. Sometimes the best backdrop is a space where you can slow down, settle in, and actually enjoy the experience together!

📍 5100 Las Vegas Blvd S, Las Vegas, NV
The Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas Sign is one of the most recognizable spots here, and it can also be a fun stop for engagement photos, especially if Vegas plays a big role in your story or you’re coming from out of town and want to make sure you have photos that really scream Las Vegas.
Photos here are pretty straightforward and fun. It’s less about variety and more about marking a moment, which makes it a good add-on rather than a full session location.
Why Couples Love The Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas Sign:
– Recognizable and very Vegas
– A quick stop that adds variety to your photos
– Easy to pair with other locations
What to Expect:
– Expect wait times (especially during peak hours)
– Photos move quickly, so be flexible
– Best as an add-on location, not your main location
This location works really well when paired with something quieter, like a hotel session or the desert. Making this a small add-on helps to give the overall gallery variety.
Note: Early mornings or later at night are usually less crowded. Remember that this is a public space, so patience and timing is important.

The best engagement sessions aren’t built around squeezing in as many locations as possible. They’re built around choosing and planning your session intentionally.
Things to Keep in Mind:
– Choose on or two main locations
– Mix environments (busy and quiet works great)
– Wear outfits that allow you to walk, sit, and move around
– Bring props (vintage car, cake, champagne, sunglasses, etc)

There really is no “best time” of day for your Las Vegas engagement photos. It all depends on the look you want and what locations you want to include in your session.

Some Las Vegas engagement photo locations are public while other locations might require booking or pre-approval.
A Few General Things to Know:
– Private interiors might require permission
– Remember that crows are a part of Vegas
This is where working with a local photographer makes a difference. I’m photographing couples just about every day, and know a lot of things an outside photographer may not know. Also, knowing what’s realistic helps keep the experience relaxed.

Las Vegas engagement photos don’t have to be loud or feel super “Vegas” if you don’t want them to be. Sure, you can hit up all of the iconic Las Vegas photo stops if you want. But if you’re a couple whose looking for photos that are classy, more modern, and elevated, you can absolutely make that happen here. When planned intentionally, they can be stylish and personal to you.
Las Vegas offers endless possibilities, but the goal isn’t to photograph everything. It’s to choose locations that support how you want your photos to feel, now and years from now.
