Louisa and Regan’s Commonwealth Las Vegas wedding reception took place on the rooftop, and it quickly became the center of the day. After getting ready at the Golden Nugget and a ceremony at the Neon Museum, the night centered around Commonwealth. It was where everyone could stay present, celebrate, and genuinely enjoy the moment. The rooftop setting, open layout, and downtown location on Fremont Street made everything feel easy and connected. It was a reception that felt intentional, social, and so fun!

Louisa and Regan got ready at the Golden Nugget Spa & Suite. It’s a hotel I always recommend for elopements and one that’s featured in my Best Las Vegas Hotels to Stay at During Your Elopement guide. The suite is always bright, classic, and calm without ever feeling boring.
Louisa wore a short beaded Rachel Gilbert dress paired with beautiful red florals by Amorcito Corazón. Regan went with a black suit and a matching red boutonniere. Hair and makeup were done by Tracy Shelor Artistry and looked stunning, as always!

The ceremony took place at the Neon Museum. This venue is always a fun choice for a wedding, especially when guests are coming in from out of town. Louisa and Regan really leaned into the experience with an Elvis officiant who sang, kept things fun, and even had them dancing during the ceremony! A champagne cart by Atomic Liquors was set up for guests, which quickly became a favorite.
The Neon Museum brings in that classic Las Vegas feel, and it fit perfectly into the flow of the day before heading into their Commonwealth Las Vegas wedding reception. I break down everything you need to know about hosting a ceremony here in my Ultimate Neon Museum Wedding Guide, and Louisa and Regan’s day was a great example of why it works so well. After the ceremony, we made a quick stop at the Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas Sign for portraits before heading downtown for the night.

After the ceremony, everyone made their way to Commonwealth. It’s located right on Fremont Street. Because of that, Louisa, Regan, and I grabbed some nighttime photos before heading straight up to the rooftop for cocktail hour.
Louisa and Regan cut into cake early on. They chose an espresso martini tower instead of a traditional champagne tower (so iconic). Speeches came next, followed by portraits downstairs in the bar. The moody interior was perfect for portraits and added even more variety to the gallery.
Once portraits were wrapped, we made our way back upstairs. Louisa and Regan shared their first dances and then opened up the dance floor for the rest of the night. Everyone had the best time dancing on the rooftop. With coordination by Whitney of XO Event Co., their Commonwealth Las Vegas wedding reception flowed easily from one part to the next. It felt intentionally paced and relaxed, yet still elevated. It was a great example of how a downtown rooftop reception can work when it’s tailored to the couple!

A Commonwealth Las Vegas wedding works well for couples planning an intimate or micro wedding reception in the city. I love how the rooftop feels open and social while still staying intentional. The downstairs bar offers a completely different vibe for portraits and quieter moments. That mix of spaces is what makes Commonwealth such a strong option and why I include it in my 25+ Las Vegas Elopement & Micro-Wedding Reception Locations guide.
